If you’re anything like me, you’ve had moments where the thought to reach out to an ex strikes quicker than a bolt of lightning.
You reason that “this MUST be a sign! A sort of divine wink from the break up gods.
While last weeks post was all about what to do after a texting relapse, today I want to share some ways to decipher your intuition code.
A sort of “how do I know” if it’s intuition or impulse, guide.
Now lets get started!
1) Timeless
For me, when I’m acting on an impulse, sending an ex a message can feel more urgent than catching up on the latest episode of New Girl.
Heck, I’ve pulled over my car and hit the four-ways, just to send that message.
Yet whenever I feel like I need to do something ASAP, is often when I’m acting on impulse, and not allowing intuition to shine through.
With intuition, I feel grounded and timeless. I can wait to call or send that text.
There is no rush or time restriction.
2) What’s in it for you?
Checking your motives, like you check your lip gloss, is super important.
One of my biggest indicators of “impulse” is after calling or sending a message, if I’m checking my phone every 2 seconds waiting for a response.
Worst yet, when that response doesn’t come, I feel deflated and rejected.
When intuition is in the drivers seat, I am able to detach from the outcome.
Not receiving a response does not alter my emotional state as I have no expectations.
If a response doesn’t come, I’m able to let that go without holding a grudge or feeling resentful.
3) Listening
Intuition breaks down to “In-tu-I” and for me that means inner listening from a source grater than yourself.
For me, that power is called God, and for you it might be nature or love.
Whatever label you stick on it, the premise is that it’s coming from something other than you.
Logic, and reasoning play no part.
You are following guidance.
4) Power Up
Another personal cue that happens when I’m being intuitive, is that I feel instantly energized.
This is NOT to be confused with the rush that comes after being impulsive.
This energy feels grounded, calm, and totally full.
Tuning into how your body feels energetically, can also help you understand if you’re following intuition or impulsiveness.
Now it’s time to begin deciphering your intuition code!
Answer the following sentences to further gain clarity:
a) I know I’m acting impulsively when:
b) An example of when I’ve listened to my intuition has felt like:
c) A time where I knew denied my intuition felt like:
d) What are my body “tell-tale signs” when I’m acting impulsively? (i.e are your thoughts racing, do you feel more anxiety, etc).
e) My body cues, when I’m listening to my intuition, are:
***
As always, YOU, and only you, are the expert of your life, so please take what you connect with, and leave the rest.
Before you go, head on over to the comments section, at the bottom of this page, and let me know what your tell-tale signs are when intuition is flowing versus being impulsive.
Thank you so much catching up with me this week, and I can’t wait to see you here again next Thursday!

WONDERFUL Post.thanks for share..extra wait .. …
You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be actually something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and extremely broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
Excellent read, I just passed this onto a friend who was doing some research on that. And he actually bought me lunch since I found it for him smile Thus let me rephrase that: Thank you for lunch! “But O the truth, the truth. The many eyes That look on it The diverse things they see.” by George Meredith.
