Why this book is a Must Read
Susan sums it up the importance of emotional agility best when she says: “Research on emotional suppression shows that when emotions are pushed aside or ignored, they get stronger. Psychologists call this amplification. Like that delicious chocolate cake in the refrigerator—the more you try to ignore it, the greater its hold on you. You might think you’re in control of unwanted emotions when you ignore them, but in fact they control you. Internal pain always comes out. Always. And who pays the price? We do. Our children, our colleagues, our communities.”
What I Loved About This Book
This book is an emotion teammate, taking you from emotional rigidity to emotional agility (I mean that’s literally the name of the first chapter). And it’s written in a non stuffy, engaging way. It helps you understand emotions and gives you the tools to build emotional agility.

A formidable share, I simply given this onto a colleague who was doing a little evaluation on this. And he in truth bought me breakfast as a result of I found it for him.. smile.
